Anodizing is one of the most common surface treatments of aluminum. In all anodizing processes, the basic reaction is conversion of the aluminum surface to aluminum oxide. The aluminum parts when made anodic in an electrolytic cell causes the oxide layer to  become thicker leading to better corrosion and wear resistance. For decorative purpose, the oxide layer formed on the surface can be dyed.

Types of Anodizing

Type I      -   Chromic Acid Anodizing

Type II     -   Sulfuric Acid Anodizing

Type III    -   Hard Anodic Coatings

Classes of Anodizing

             Class I     -   Non-dyed

             Class II    -   Dyed

***Currently, We offer Type II, Class I and Class II service***

Major Benefits and Properties

· Durability-

Most anodized products have an extremely long life span and offer significant economic

advantages through maintenance and operating savings.

· Color Stability-

Exterior anodic coatings provide good stability to ultraviolet rays, do not chip or peel.

· Health and Safety-

Anodizing is a safe process that is not harmful to human health. An anodized finish is

chemically stable, will not decompose; is non-toxic.

· Non-conductive Surface-

The electrical insulating properties of the anodic finish find application when dielectric

properties are important for electrical components.

· Corrosion resistance-

Anodizing improves corrosion resistance, especially when the metal surface is exposed to

     industrial, humid and marine atmospheres.
